Elaine’s Notes
Critical info
● NO SMOKING, NOT in the unit, NOT on the balcony, not even E-cigs! NO EXCEPTIONS! I am highly allergic to the smoke and I WILL KNOW! 😊
● NO throwing (or spitting) ANYTHING from the balcony (this is a felony in the state of Florida)
● NO hanging towels, clothing, etc. on the balcony railing
● Quiet time at the resort begins at 10pm central time
You will need to stop by the Front Desk and pick up a packet that will contain armbands and a parking pass. The armbands are to be worn on the wrist while on property and will get you into the pool areas and fitness center
You can park in either the NORTH or SOUTH garage. The north parking garage has “walkovers” on floors 2-6 that go to the main building. Our unit is slightly closer to the south garage end of the building (but not by much).
The south parking deck is much smaller than the north one, so may fill up faster. There is no “crossover” to the main building from the SOUTH garage, so you must return to the ground floor to go to the elevator that is located lakeside.
There is a beach wagon located in the unit (bedroom closet), that you are welcome to use to get your luggage. There should also be luggage carts for you to use that are located in the lobby. You will need to leave an ID with the front desk in order to use the luggage cart.
Please note that if it storms (high winds) elevators can shut down automatically and you will have to walk up the stairs!
The code will be given to you no later than the day of your arrival. Arrival time is 2:00pm (could be earlier). The code will be your “key” for your entire stay. The door will automatically lock when shut (just make sure it
closes securely).
I try to keep toilet tissue, paper towels, hand soap, etc., but can’t always promise that it will be there, so please be prepared. 😊 Also, I would ask if you “use it, replace it”.
The kitchen should be fully stocked with plates, cups, pots and pans. There is also a coffee maker (full pot and K-cup/Keurig) and a Margaritaville blender.
All trash must be bagged and thrown in a trash shoot. There are 2 trash shoots that are close to the unit. If you go out of the door and take a left, short walk, and it is on your right (near stack 23).
If you go out and take a right…it is past the elevators all the way at the end of the building (right at the end of the hallway and then on the left).
Sofa Bed: The living room sofa is a QUEEN size bed. The sheets, quilt and blanket are in the “entertainment center” in the living room. The extra pillows are in the tall cabinet to the right of the fridge.
Ceiling Fan (living room): You can turn on the fan by using the light switch closest to the dining table, but it is controlled by a remote that SHOULD be located on the island in the kitchen.
TV – both TV’s have Disney, HULU, and ESPN – IF logged out, email = easonltw1515@gmail.com and password is LakeTown1515. Both TV’s also have regular cable. The smaller remote turns on the TV and adjust the volume, the larger Xfinity changes the channels. 😊
Wifi – 2 networks available: ltw-1515 or ltw-1515 5g, password: LakeTOWN1515 (please note capital vs lower case letters)
The air conditioner does not work when the balcony doors are left open therefore, please refrain from leaving the doors open (it also causes the appliances to rust and the vents to drip).
In order to lock the balcony door, you will need to make sure that the right door is pulled towards the center as well as the left door in order for it to securely lock.
This should be turned off when you arrive (please check the ice storage to ensure empty), to turn on:
- Press “Options” on the left side of the display
- Arrow down until “ice maker” is highlighted
- On the right side of the display select (+) for on or (-) for off
- Wait a couple seconds for confirmation
Having fun!
● If you want to be in the middle of EVERYTHING…go out the condo front door, take a left and go down
the elevators (this is called the “knuckle”) and across the street to the Laketown Wharf Beach Access
gate located to the west side of Pineapple Willies (when looking at PW, it is to the far right. Follow the
crosswalk that is located in the front of Laketown Wharf). The code for this access gate is 2135 or 4132 (could update, contact Elaine if doesn’t unlock).
● Quieter, a more relaxing time on the beach is what you are looking for…go out the condo front door,
take a right, go down the south elevators. Go to the end of the building (towards the dog walk and dumpsters…I know, not the most scenic view but it will get you there! 😊 ) OR you can go towards the parking deck and there is a gate located in front of the parking deck located close to the road. Go across the street and Public Beach Access #34 is right there (#33 has less steps). 3 MIN walk from room to beach IF the elevators are “agreeable”.
● Pool #1 & #2 are located on the GROUND FLOOR as well as a hot tub. This is also where you will find the poolside bar and grill (open seasonally)!
● Pool # 3 (and hot tub #2) is located on the 10th floor. This pool has a great view of the gulf and is
considered the FAMILY pool (no bar and grill).
● Pool #4 -Kiddie pool is located on the 4th floor
● Pool #5 – Lakeside pool…you guessed it, LAKESIDE! This pool appears to never be crowded so if you want some quiet time, this is your pool!
Gym: is located on floors 3 and 4 (no card key required, not children)
Putting green – Going out to play golf? Get some putting practice in first! Located on floor. PLEASE only use to putt…not meant to see how far a golf ball will fly! We try to keep a putter and a couple balls in the bedroom closet.
Don’t forget to catch the nightly light show over the lake at Laketown Wharf…Noon and 8PM!! Watch it from the ground or right out side your door! 😊 It last about 15 -20 minutes.
Dining Suggestions
Buffet style restaurant, open seasonally. They offer Filet Mignon and Crab Legs…I’m thinking that you cannot go wrong! Price can fluctuate (often ~$60 per person) but if you love crab legs, that isn’t a bad price! They also have a salad bar, several sides (including some yummy mac-n-cheese), fried shrimp, boiled shrimp, clams, dessert (or they did the night that we went)! It was great and they have indoor and outdoor seating.
“Home of the worst taco a lady has ever eaten” (according to a Facebook post). Not sure where this “lady” has been eating taco’s but I PROMISE this is one of the best tacos you will ever eat!
We don’t miss stopping in at Juan Taco’s at least once every visit!
They also have quesadillas, burritos, homemade margaritas and seasonal sangria and sell wine by the bottle! Juan Taco is open Monday through Saturday but only from 11am until 7pm (or until the food runs out…and he is serious!).
Bar and Grill type food, large menu with plenty of drink options. Often hosts events such as karaoke and part of the Comedy Tour.
Their menu is a celebration of breakfast and brunch classics infused with creative twists and inspired by local fav’s and international delights. *Open seasonally!
Ice cream, candy, and treats! Open seasonally! http://thecandymaker.com
Located at the main ground level pool, across from the registration desk and main elevators. Limited menu and drinks. *Open seasonally!
Lakeside, near the south elevators (“wedding area”). I enjoyed the thin crust pizza (the small will feed 2 people easily).
For anything located on Front Beach road, go towards
the back of the building, behind the North Parking Garage, this will cut a minute or two off of the “Google Maps” walk time! 😊
● Pineapple Willies; 3-minute walk
● Waffle House; 4-minute walk
● American Diner; 8-minute walk
● Hungry Howie’s; 6-minute walk
● McDonald’s; 7-minute walk
● Walmart Liquor; 5-minute walk
● Circle K convenient store; 4-minute walk
● DIPPIN DOTS; 7-minute walk
● COCONUT CREEK – Putt Putt and MAZE; 12-minute walk
● Ripley’s Believe It or Not; 10-minute walk
be careful walking to Coconut Creek and Ripley’s…you do have to cross a busy intersection…there are lights and crosswalks, but people in PCB cannot drive!!!
Time to Leave 🙁
Please plan to be out of the unit by 11:00am on the day of departure! Your door code will expire at this time.
